Connect receiver¶
- Connect the receiver to your screen as shown below. Then turn on the receiver:
The following start page appears on your screen:
Screen transmission in Type-C transmitter mode¶
Windows / macOS in Type-C transmitter mode¶
Note
Make sure your Windows / macOS device supports video transmission via USB-C port DP Alt Mode. In case of doubt, please use the Type-A method or screen transmission without transmitter.

Remove the USB-A adapter from the transmitter and switch the transmitter to
Type-C
. Connect the transmitter to a USB-C port on your Windows/macOS computer:
Android / iOS in Type-C transmitter mode¶
Note
Make sure your Android or iOS device supports video transmission via USB-C port DP Alt Mode. In case of doubt, please use the Mobile Mode or screen transmission without transmitter.
- Remove the USB-A adapter from the transmitter and switch the transmitter to
Type-C
. Connect the transmitter to the USB-C port of your Android device:
Devices with HDMI port in Type-C transmitter mode¶
Do you want to transmit devices like computers or document cameras that do not have a USB-C port but only HDMI?
Use an HDMI plug to USB-C socket adapter to convert an HDMI output of a computer/document camera into a USB-C input for the QuattroPod USB transmitter. Unlike the Type-A mode, no additional software installation is necessary. You can purchase this adapter from us if needed here:
NOTE: Audio transmission does not work with nReal devices. The adapter must be powered via a USB connection (DC5V) and the supplied micro-USB charging cable. Your computer’s USB-A port is sufficient. If needed, you can also purchase a Samsung power supply (5V/2A) from us here:
Screen transmission in Type-A transmitter mode¶

- Connect the USB-A adapter to the transmitter and switch the transmitter to
Type-A
. Connect the transmitter to a USB-A port on your Windows/macOS computer:
Install software: USB WiFi Cast
Note
Administrator rights are required to install the USB WiFi Cast software in Type-A mode.
- You must install the USB WiFi Cast software once. When connecting the transmitter in Type-A mode, a CD drive opens. On macOS run the
USB WiFi Cast
.pkg file. On Windows run theUSB Launcher
.exe file as administrator:
If the USB WiFi Cast software is already installed on your device, screen transmission starts automatically by default. It can also be started manually from your start menu.
Screen transmission in Mobile mode¶
iOS in Mobile mode¶
Note
The transmitter allows simple mirroring of your screen via the Lightning cable. If your iOS device has a USB-C port, click here. If you want to mirror your screen without the transmitter, you can use a streaming protocol.
- Connect the USB-A adapter to the transmitter and switch the transmitter to
Mobile
. Connect the transmitter to a USB port (5V,1A) or to the power supply of your Apple device. Then connect your iOS device to the USB port of the transmitter.
- When the following message appears, select
Trust
and if prompted, enter the device code:
Android in Mobile mode¶
Note
The transmitter allows simple mirroring of your screen. If you prefer to mirror your content without a transmitter, click here.
You must enable USB debugging once, then connect the transmitter and press the main button.
Enable USB debugging on Android
This guide will walk you step-by-step through enabling USB debugging.
- Open
Settings

Note
If a message appears when connecting, select MTP or file transfer.
Screen transmission without transmitter¶
With QuattroPod you have two options without the transmitter:

If you only want to quickly transmit your screen, you can start immediately following the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) principle by using the built-in screen transmission functionality of your device or streaming protocols. This means you do not need to download any app!

The free QuattroPod app offers you an intuitive interface for screen transmission of your Android device.
a) Streaming protocols¶
All common streaming protocols are supported. Comprehensive guides for your desired protocol can be found at the following links:

b) The QuattroPod app on Android¶
- Find the SSID on your device that is displayed on the screen:
Install app¶
Search for the QuattroPod app in the Google Play Store and install it from there:
Connect app with QuattroPod¶
If you have properly connected the QuattroPod, the following start page appears on the screen:
- Connect your Android device with the QuattroPod, either via the QuattroPod’s SSID or with the same Wi-Fi or LAN infrastructure the QuattroPod is connected to:
- Now open the QuattroPod app on your Android device. On the first launch, you must approve once to allow the app to display over other apps you use. Select
OK
.
- Turn on the menu item

, then press theBack
button on your Android device to return to the app.
- To select the desired QuattroPod, press
Search Device:

- Select your QuattroPod.
If the app is properly connected to the receiver, the large button on the transmitter lights red. To transmit your screen, just press the red main button.
- When the following message appears, select
START NOW
.
- While transmitting, the transmitter lights white and the symbol spins at the top left.
- If audio transmission is desired, Bluetooth pairing must be accepted.
Your Android device is now shown on the screen. To stop transmitting, simply press the main button again or close the app.
